Description: Creating Cartographic Utopia involved finding a balance between the soft light pink watercolour backwash and bold sections of acrylic Mars Black and Titanium White. Through incorporating various techniques with the two contrasting mediums, this allowed for a feeling of cartography to intuitively emerge.

This painting services as a reminder that just as travelling requires exploration, courage to try something new, and following our intuitive senses, this painting equally required those characteristics during the creation process.
