Description: There is something about living by the water and being called to just let go and flow with the waves. To allow yourself to be at peace, to heal, and to live in the now.
Through my time living by the sea, I have been inspired everyday to create. The beautifully colored crystal clear waves of water that crash into the scattered black rocks hold a type of magical feeling that makes you simply happy and in awe of the present moment.
The overall composition of this painting aims to portray the shape of the country being long and narrow. The compass symbolizes the infinite beauty seen in all directions. The sparkly golden circle symbolizes the sandy sea shores and bright sunny skies. The markings on the edge of the right side of the outline symbolizes the incredible morning walks alongside the Mediterranean Sea, leading to the ancient city of Caesarea and local beaches. The SUP icon symbolizes an activity that I have fallen in love with all over again, something that allowed me to be immersed into the magical waters. The solid black sections symbolize the rocks that are seen dispersed through the waters. Lastly, the writing in the Hebrew language symbolizes my excitement of learning to speak a new language and experience interactions with people of the country.
